Annual Tube Float - Rules

  1. No persons under the age of thirteen (13) years may enter the float unless accompanied by one or more parent.
  2. All teams must have one adult 18 years or over in team.
  3. Teams and Groups must have tubes tied together.
  4. Entry will not be accepted for any person under 18 years of age, without consent signature and telephone number of parent or guardian on entry.
  5. Team names required for all teams, groups, and floats.
  6. All single floaters must be 14 years or older. All group, team and float participants must be 13 years or older, unless accompanied by one or more parent.
  7. Individual entry form is required for each participant.
  8. ALL ENTRANTS MUST WEAR A COAST GUARD APPROVED LIFE JACKET (VEST TYPE). Not wearing a life jacket disqualifies entrant from prizes and may jeopardize future tube floats.
  9. Floats must be supported by a base of innertubes.
  10. Entry wrist band must be worn on wrist, number side out.
  11. Wristband required on wrist at finish for prizes.
  12. Floats must not have been towed, other than for necessary patrol assistance, and must be complete the entire float.
  13. All entries should try to stay 50’ from shoreline.
  14. Entries will be disqualified for:
    1. Using fins, paddles or any other type of hand or foot gear.
    2. Use of any mechanical propellants.
    3. Disposing of or sinking any foreign materials in the river.
    4. Dunking, upsetting or purposely deflating tube of another.
    5. Requesting and receiving unnecessary tow from patrol boat.
    6. Floats that are towed prior to check point, except as necessary.
    7. NOT WEARING A LIFE JACKET.
    8. Using a non inflatable device.
  15. No transportation will be provided to or from start or finish.
  16. All entries with the exception of floats, must cross finish line by 3:00 p.m.. June 5, 2010 to be eligible for prizes.
  17. All decisions of the judges shall be final.
  18. All floats must be removed from beach after landing.

    The small print
    Wrist bands must be worn on wrist, number side out.
    All participants must have wrist band.
    You must have ID to purchase alcohol at the casino.
    Individual entry form required for each person entering event.
    No changes in category entered after wrist band has been issued.
    All participants must complete registration and release.
